THE ACQUISITION OF BRAND NEW TOYOTA HIACE DLX

Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, has procured a brand new Toyota Hiace Bus DLX with a sitting capacity of 15 persons for the Eye Unit.

Rev. Mavis Hannah Yeboah, Chaplain of Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, led Management and some members of staff to dedicate the luxurious bus to the glory of God. A brief but well attended ceremony was held on Friday, May 18, 2018, at the hospital durbar grounds.

The authorities at the Eye Clinic and the Driver of the bus were admonished on the need for compliance with laid-down maintenance schedule for the sake of longevity of the engine.

The Ophthalmologist in charge, Dr. Kennedy Opoku, indicated that the purpose of the procurement of the bus was to improve service delivery and position the Eye Clinic to undertake vigorous outreach programmes.

Mr. Alex Kesse Nyamesa, the General Manager of the Asante Akyem Area Health Service expressed appreciation to the Almighty God and to Fidelity Bank for granting the Eye Clinic about 63% of the cost of the vehicle as a credit facility to procure the luxurious bus.

He added that the hospital has entered into an agreement with the Himilayan Cataract Project (HCP) to strengthen the outreach program for Cataract operations and so acquisition of the bus was a step in the right direction.
