MOUNT SINAI HOSPITAL DONATES TO PRESBYTERIAN HOSPITAL, AGOGO
The Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, has received a donation worth Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) from Mount Sinai Hospital, based in the United States of America (USA). The items include medical items and consumables.
The donation, was facilitated by two benevolent Ghanaians, Mr. Yiadom Boakye and Dr. Kwaku Owusu-Abrokwa, based in the United States. The shipment cost of Ten Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000) was paid by Dr. Kwaku Owusu-Abrokwa.
Prof. Yaa Ntiamoa-Baidoo, lecturer from the University of Ghana, on behalf of the donors presented the items to the Hospital during a brief ceremony in Agogo, on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Accompanying Prof. Ntiamoa-Baidoo, were some eminent Nananom and Queen mother of Asankare, Nana Abena Kyerewaa I.
Prof. Ntiamoa-Baidu, reiterated that Mount Sinai Hospital is well-known for donating hospital equipment and consumables to health facilities in Africa over the years.
Mr. Alex Kesse Nyamesa, the General Manager, Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, on behalf of management of the hospital received the donation and acknowledged with sincere thanks, the generosity of the donors for their kind gesture. Mr. Kesse, said the items received would enhance service delivery at the facility and go a long way to relieve the underprivileged and the marginalized who seek medical attention at the hospital. The General Manager assured the donors that the items would be used for the intended purpose.
