Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo, has received a lot of donations from Philanthropists to help contain and prevent the spread of the disease. Among the donors is a popular highlife musician and sub-chief of Agogo Traditional Council, Okyeredom Amakye Dede.

Okyeredom Amakye Dede has been a true and loyal friend of the Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo. His exceedingly kind gesture to the Hospital during this trying moment has been immense and impactful.

Okyeredom Amakye Dede has single handedly donated six (6) infrared thermometers to the Hospital to aid in our pre-triaging of patients at the Hospital’s main entrance. On July 6, 2020, Nana, came on a surprise visit to donate a pedal hand washing device to the facility.  This device was built with a modern technology, which avoids hand contact.

The device is mainly pedal driven which makes use of only the human foot. A left foot pressed on the left pedal would release soap while a right foot pressed on the right pedal releases water.  The device also has a waste pipe to safely dispose waste water.

Okyeredom Amakye Dede has been a very good Ambassador of our Hospital. His well- intended quest to see our facility attract the best of all equipment and tools for its operations has been tremendous.
