On July 15, 2020, the leadership of Agogo
Worldwide Association made a donation to the Presbyterian Hospital, Agogo. The delegation was led by the immediate past
president of the Association, Mr. Samuel Anyan Kusi. Among the items donated were vital sign
monitors, oxygen concentrators and ear thermometers.
Mr. Kusi mentioned that the donation was from
people of Agogo who lived outside Ghana.
He reiterated that it was their widow’s mite contribution towards the
Presbyterian Hospital in their hometown which serves the whole of Ashanti –
Akim area and afar.
The General Manager, Mr. Alex Kesse Nyamesa, thanked the delegation on behalf of the management of the hospital. He mentioned that it had been long since he witnessed such a donation from the Agogo Worldwide Association. He gave the delegation the assurance that the donated items will be used for its intended purpose to serve the clients of the hospital and to improve efficiency and quality of care. The General Manager encouraged the Association to continue to support the hospital in diagnostic equipment to reduce the referral of patients to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and other diagnostic centres.
