The Asante Akim North Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) on February 01, 2023 handed over a fully furnished renovated private room at the Accident and Emergency unit to the management of Presbyterian hospital, Agogo.

The handing over was done during a dedication ceremony carried out by the Presbytery Areaboard Chairman, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah. Present at the dedication ceremony were members of the Internal Management Committee (IMC) of the hospital as well as some clinical and non-clinical staff.

The Nursing Administrator of the hospital, Mr. George Boahen Adusei, on behalf of the association indicated that the renovation was a major goal and completing it through the 2022-week celebration was an achievement which goes beyond the roles of nurses and midwives who form 50% of the Global health work force.

The General Manager, Mr. Alex Kesse Nyamesa commended the association and thanked them for their generous gesture in renovating the private room as means of support to the hospital.

He gave the assurance that the room would improve the quality of Inpatient care at the Casualty Department and would be put to maximum use by the hospital.

Mr. Alex Kesse Nyamesa also admonished other professional bodies and associations to emulate the gesture of the Asante Akim North GRNMA.
